Late afternoon private transfer to Ya’an city, overnight in Ya’an.

Early morning visit to Bifengxia Giant Panda Base, less crowded than Chengdu city panda park with larger wild-style habitats. See adult pandas feeding, playful cubs in nursery houses, walk forest trails to spot pandas in natural mountain surroundings,Visit wildlife conservation exhibition hall to learn China’s global giant panda protection programs,Leisure time to explore Bifengxia green mountain and Cliffside Suspended Glass Walkway Experience. overnight at a Eco-lodge inside the Giant Panda National Park, It’s quiet and peaceful,all you can hear are the musical sounds from the nature forest.

Early morning drive to Wawu Mountain National Forest Park(1.5hrs), take cable car up to flat-top alpine plateau
Full day guided wildlife & birdwatching along mountain boardwalk trails
Search for wild red pandas in bamboo & fir forests; Wawu is Sichuan’s most reliable spot to spot wild red pandas at close range
Target endemic Sichuan birds: Grey-hooded Parrotbill, Three-toed Parrotbill, Teminck's Tragopan, Emei Liocichla, many species of laughingthrushes, rosefinches and various babblers. Hike alpine wetland & forest loop paths, enjoy misty mountain scenery
Late afternoon drive back to Ya’an for overnight.

Morning transfer from Ya’an to Leshan City(1.5-2hrs).visit Leshan Giant Buddha (UNESCO World Heritage) – the world’s largest stone Maitreya Buddha statue (71m tall, carved 713AD)

Mandatory river boat cruise: Capture full head-to-toe panoramic view of the giant Buddha, floating at the confluence of Min, Dadu and Qingyi Rivers. After lunch, long-distance(2.5hrs) private transfer to Shunan Bamboo Sea Scenic Areas, check in mountain bamboo resort.

Day Highlight: Iconic river cruise view of Leshan Giant Buddha, and visit to China’s largest bamboo forest reserve

All day leisure & sightseeing inside the 120 sq.km vast bamboo forest park: Walk winding bamboo plank roads through towering moso bamboo groves. Visit hidden waterfalls, mountain lakes, cave formations and bamboo viewing platforms

Take the high-speed train to Golden Snub-nosed Monkey National Nature Reserve nearby Jiuzhaigou, spend 2 nights there, birding+hiking( Mountain hiking required for in searching of the monkey, seniors not suggested for this section), come back to Chengdu on the afternoon of day 11.

Free activity in the morning, you may choose to revisit a favorite neighborhood, or do last-minute shopping for Sichuan pepper corn, Tibetan handicrafts, or Chinese tea.
