Endemic Pheasant Tour
Overview
The tour was designed for an Indian client who is a photographer, his idea was to photograph some China endemic pheasants, and some big mammals, like the good looking Snub-nosed Golden Monkey, Macaques, etc. Since his concentration was on Sichuan, Qinling mountains and central China, so we designed this tour, 7 species of pheasants and 2 partridges can be easily photographed from bird hides.

Itinerary
Day 1 :
Arrive in Chengdu, Drive to Yibing City
Arrive in Chengdu, Meet with our local guide and driver, then drive to south of Sichuan, after 4 hours drive, you will reach to a mountain named Laojun, where you will stay in a guest house for the next 3 nights.
Day 2 :
Bird Photograph at Laojun Mountain
Main target would be Sichuan Partridge, Temminck’s Tragopan, Lady Amhers’ Pheasant, Silver Pheasant. All the target birds can be photographed in the hides.
Day 3 :
Bird Photograph at Laojun Mountain
Another day for Sichuan Partridge, Teminck’s tragopan, Lady Amhers’ Pheasant, Silver Pheasant. Just to increase the chances and also in case of some mountain weather conditions.
Day 4 :
Laojun mountain-Wolong
The last morning bird photo shooting at Laojunshan, then drive to Wolong, there is a place good for Golden Pheasant. we will spend one night here, we have one afternoon and one morning, then transfer to a place nearby Tangjiahe nature reserve.
Day 5 :
Wolong- a mountain nearby Tangjia he Nature Reserve
One morning for the Golden Pheasant,then transfer to a mountain nearby Tangjiahe nature reserve, here we have good chances for the Golden Snub-nosed Monkey.
Day 6 :
Golden Snub-nosed Monkey Photograph
Whole day photograph Golden Snub-nosed Monkey, along with Short-tailed Macaque, chances for Golden Takins, Blue sheep, as well as very slim chances for wild Giant Panda and Red Panda.
Day 7 :
Drive back to Chengdu, night in Chengdu.
Enjoy the famous Sichuan Cuisine for dinner.
Day 8 :
Fly to Wuhan from Chengdu. then 2 hours drive to Xinyang.
Afternoon bird photograph at hides for Reeve’s Pheasant,Night at the nature reserve guest house.
Day 9 :
All day long ghotograph at the hides.
Reeve’s Pheasant, Crested Ibis, Collard Crow. Night at a guesthouse.the male pheasants have the very long tail and sometimes displaying or fighting for foods or for females.
Day 10 :
Xinyang- the border of Henan and Shanxi province.
If we still need to improve the quality of the photos, we will give it another morning here, if not, we then carry on further north, after 4 hours drive, we reach to the border of Henan and Shanxi province, the following 2 days we will spend here.
Day 11 :
All day long at the bird hides for Golden Pheasant and Koklass Pheasant
Here, we have very good chances for Golden Pheasant and Koklass Pheasant. the background of the photo is very good,sometimes, you catch the moments that 3 or 4 Golden pheasant fighting in the filed.
Day 12 :
All day long waiting at the bird hides for Golden Pheasant and Koklass Pheasant
One more day to improve the quality of the photos，or in case of bad weather,etc.
Day 13 :
Drive back to Xinyang airport , take the plane to Beijing /Shanghai/Guangzhou for international departure.

Cost Includes
- Transportation for the whole trip, a SUV for small private tour, a mini bus for a standard group of 8 people.
- China domestic flight & High-speed Trains(economy class/2nd.class.)
- All Feeding station fees, and the entrance tickets permits needed for nature reserves and protected areas.
- Hotel Fees throughout the whole trip, the cost is based on twin-sharing rooms. Good standard hotels in cities and nice and comfortable guesthouse standard hotel nearby the birding sites.
- Bottled water, hot coffee/tea, seasonal fruits and snacks throughout the whole trip.
- Professional Birding guide(If you are a very experienced independent birder who wants to find your own birds, We can also Just arrange a birding driver who knows all the sites.)
- All meals included, Packed breakfasts whenever necessary for an early leaving.
