The trip included the most popular bird hides/blinds for birding & photograghy, the hornbill valley is located on China-Myanmar border in western Yunnan, it’s the best spot in China to shoot wild hornbills, including Great Hornbill, Wreathed Hornbill and Oriental Pied Hornbill. Over 450 bird species are recorded here, with rare birds like Collared Falconet, Grey Peacock-Pheasant easy to capture. Baihualing (Gaoligong Mountain)known as the holy land of bird photography in China, it boasts over 525 bird species, accounting for nearly half of China’s total. Featured birds include Fire-tailed Sunbird, Red-tailed Laughingthrush, Golden Bush Robin and rare pheasants. Birds gather here year-round (winter is optimal for migratory species), with dozens of bird ponds and hides/blinds.
