Our Self-Guided Tours deliver outstanding value while retaining all core wildlife experiences, perfect for independent birders who likes to find their own birds, prioritise flexibility and cost-effective travel.

These tours let you chase your target bird species at your own pace—no rigid itineraries( You can design your own itinerary with our asistance) or mandatory professional guides,only a private car with a local Chinese-Speaking birding-savvy driver provided(They are able to communicate with you without any language barriers by using their smart phone with ‘AI’ translation) .

By forgoing costly international/national tour guides (and their associated China domestic flights, rail tickets, accommodation, and dining expenses), we pass on the savings directly to you. For longer tours, we will arrange you a birding friendly driver who does the drive and accompany you throughout the whole trip. For short tours, we will arrange a local driver who might be a local birder, a dedicated bird feeder, an owner of a bird homestay hotel or a local guide for Chinese birding groups. These locals are our local partners who are able to handle airport or high-speed rail transfers, arrange your on-the-ground itinerary, and know their home habitats far more intimately than many professional guides. They can lead you to hidden birding spots, predict rare species sightings, and share hyper-local insights that elevate your birding experience—all at a fraction of the cost.

If you are self-reliant birders, just let us know and we will assign you a birding-savvy driver. They are accustomed to early morning departures and late returns, and know exactly when and how to pull over so you can take photos from the vehicle.
